Queer Ecology

The large-scale sculpture "Queer Ecology," made of Portuguese pink marble and stainless steel, explores the connection between nature and culture, strength and vulnerability. Shaped as an oversized fighting conch with piercings, the sculpture merges organic and artificial elements to emphasize diversity and challenge rigid separations between humans and nature. It questions human exceptionalism and serves as a reminder of the deep, temporal interconnectedness between life and matter. Accompanied by an audio meditation, it invites reflection on coexistence and the acceptance of differences.
